Accessibility Information

What accommodations are available for people with disabilities, Deaf, or Autistic participants?
There will be an ADA seating area in front of the stage for people with disabilities. You are welcome to bring a companion with you.

The following services are confirmed:
• The seating directly in front of the stage (at the base of the Art Museum Steps) will be reserved for those who need this accessible seating. We have made every effort in our budget to provide an adequate volume of chairs for those who need to sit. Due to the volume of marchers, these chairs will be first come first served.

• Additional seats/benches around the route will be marked with the universal accessibility symbol to indicate they are reserved for those with disabilities who need to sit.


• American Sign Language Interpreters will be at the stage and there will be a section of the ADA seating area reserved for those who need a direct line of vision to the interpreters. The interpreters will also be included in the video that is projected onto the jumbotron.

• We will have volunteers to assist with wheelchair users near the rally stage.

• There will be a medical tent. Location will be updated once confirmed.

• You will be able to rent a wheelchair, walker or scooter and have it delivered to the delivered to the march. Exact details to be provided soon.

• There are 2 locations, one at the beginning of the route, and one at the rally/stage location for participants who need to be dropped off. These locations will be marked on the map and listed here as they are confirmed.

• The stage will be accessible via wheelchair lift.

• About 20% of porta-potties are accessible (additional accessible restrooms may be found in the library and museums that line the March route)

• Nursing area hosted in a nearby business (details forthcoming)

• Wheelchair, scooter, mobility device rentals (follow link for details)

Quiet spaces near the march route:

• The Philadelphia Library recommends visiting the art department or social science department for a quiet, but public space - located at 1901 Vine St, Philadelphia, PA 19103

    • Moore College of Art and Design has an art gallery and cafe that are open to the public and tend to be quiet on the weekends (however they do ask all guests to sign in) - located at 1916 Race St, Philadelphia, PA 19103

    • The Barnes Foundation invites guests that need a quiet space to visit their public spaces including the main lobby, the lower lobby and their courtyard - located at 20th and the Parkway

    • Maternity Care Coalition will have its facility open for nursing moms - located on Hamilton Street between 20th and 21st streets
